标题: 【地點已更改】7月16日 - 17日Punchbowl雪地露營
目的: 為Rockwall長征作熱身準備, 強烈要求所有隊友參加, 带全副Backpacking東東去走，衡量一下自己的底線。在行走中發现找出自己裝備的不足，及時補上。誠邀WCT隊齊齊玩, 也歡迎其他童鞋參與。

今年雪大, Wedgemount 1200m開始有雪, 最高點是1920m。大石坡到小木屋一段很斜, 背著大包下山走那段路有一定潛在危險, 四年前七月我們的朋友就在下山時失足堶下, 大腿摔到腫起一大塊, 在其他隊友參扶下, 花了很多小時才回到trailhead。考慮到安全問題, 和LuLu商量過, 決定改住Manning Park附近的Whatcom Trail - Punchbowl。暫時天氣預告Manning Park比Whistler稍好。

地点: Manning ParkCascade Recreation Area
Trail名稱：Whatcom Trail - Punchbowl, 第二天由原路返回trailhead, 不走Dewdney Trail
One way:15km
Elev gain: 1030m
High Point: 1784m
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking Time: 8.5小時

B. 參加者基本要求：
團隊精神 - 共進共退，友爱互助。分工合作，有FUN同享。
個人體能 - 有7小时負重35lbs野營體驗。

C. 責任與備註:
1. 戶外活動有風險，一切組織和活動屬自願，責任自負。

2. 一切計劃會跟據當時天氣, 環境作靈活變動, 隊友應跟隨整體行進, 不可單獨行動。

3. 一定要三人一組結伴同行。每組備對講機一部, 否則每組定要保持在視線範圍之內。

司機注意:
如閣下持有Novice牌(Class 7), 除非在一名年滿25歲持有Class 1 - 5的人仕陪同, 否則只可接載一名乘客, 也一定是掛上"N"字標誌。請參閱ICBC網站

如果讓第三者用你的車, 要確保對方有10年駕駛經驗, 或您的保險有包括小於10年駕駛經驗的司機。

报名1人。记得刚开始hiking时，跟这老游去过的就是这地方。老游还准备盖400层楼呢。

当时想在湖边住一晚多好。3年过去了，去住一晚，看看星星。

是呀，记得当时觉得好像发现了一个新世界，兴奋得都不睡觉了。
生活好像完全变了样。

随着对新世界越来越熟悉，兴奋度有所递减，这好像就是经济学里的“边际效益递减”吧。

得挖掘更多新地方增加刺激，或者在去过的地方再深度挖掘。

但感觉你们好像没有这种边际效益递减的感觉，秘诀是什么？是不是又到了一个新的境界了？3年一个境界？

从wedgemount lake的木屋到Mt. cook顶的路线，爬高约七百多米

我們走的一條是比較容易和多人採用的路線.

容易路線是:
從Hut走向"Turn" waypoint 後,
沿黃線走向"Start of Bench" waypoint
跟著走向"End of Bench" waypoint
沿山脊走向Mount Cook

我們走的路線也很接近以上的描述. :lol:

沿途有水溪補給飲用清水, 可帶濾水器。

個人用品備忘錄：
高幫防水登山鞋
Gaitor /護膝 /二根登山杖（with baskets）
背包及raincover
帳篷 /睡袋/睡墊
足跡或雨布，鋪在帳篷下可以有效地防沙防潮
食物（包括早晚的煮食和中午的乾糧及湯水茶包）
水袋/水瓶
爐 /氣 /鍋 /食器/杯子/點火器/防水火柴
防水食物袋
抹手紙
多個結實的塑料大及小垃圾袋

衣服：防雨外套及褲子必備，我們會在1400米處紮營，早晚在高山上會冷，至少帶 1套禦寒保暖衣服，如羽絨，羊毛外套，羊毛longjohns，羊毛衣。其他衣物都選輕的，快乾的。
替換的登山襪子。
防水防滑手套必備
在營地穿的輕便鞋
遮陽防雨帽

個人衛生品/刷牙用品/紙巾 /洗面奶/潤膚霜
梳子
防曬霜 /廁紙
洗手液（洗手液）
驅蚊水，止痕膏，防蚊紗帽
防熊劑

集合時間: 7月16日 6:00am正
集合地點: Kingsway夹Willingdon的Esso加油站后面停車場。
需要carpool的同學們要提早10分鍾把車泊在附近街道。
請準時, 逾時不候。

會在Chilliwack Tim Hortons停留20分鍾吃早飯。
Tim address: 7670 Vedder Road, Sardis, V2R 4G9

行車路線:
1. From Hwy 1 take exit 119, turn right towards Sardis.
2. You are on Vedder Road.
3. Left turn onto Luckakuck Way.

由Tim Hortons到Trailhead行車路線:
1. From Tim Hortons right turn on Vedder Road.
2. Take Hope Exit & head Hwy 1 east.
3. Drive east on Hwy 5 past Hope.
4. Take exit 177 onto Hwy 3. Follow for 32km to Cascade Recreation Area.
5. After passing Rhododendron Flats, move into the left lane to be ready for your left turn a little beyond the bridge over Snass Creek.
6. Drive a short distance into the parking area.

不用四驅, 請司机們打印行車路線備用。

預備買一扎柴, 每人背一根上山。

作者在7月4日前往Mt. Ford (在Dewney Trail上)。他走到6000ft (1800m)才見到雪, 他應沒有穿雪鞋。

週末在Manning Park轉了一圈, trail在1800m開始有雪。
Whatcom Trail由1300m到Pass (1800m)都會有雪，過了Pass到PunchBowl Lake是下坡, 營地在1400m, 當年我們都沒有帶雪鞋, 也冇問題。為了減輕重量, 我都是博一博。想聽您意見。

对，过桥第二个出口，因该是50号，然后有明显的路标P+R，要先上160st, 然后在160th的第一个口再左拐103Ave，就看见了。

其餘童鞋請準六時到Burnaby Esso加油站后面停車場集合, 想carpool的要提早把自己的車泊好。
