大家都知道，冰岛政府今年很凄惨，为了吸引游客，政府不惜拿出资金资助旅游业，现在有个很好的promotion, 去冰岛一趟只要$499/人, 包括从西雅图直飞的往返机票，两晚4星级酒店，早餐，一趟看北极光的tour。

低价格的日期是：12月2-9，一月11 - 三月15
如果多住一天，加$59
如果升级到Hilton酒店，总共加$50/人。

这个deal 截止到11月1日（这个我不确定，没看到出处，是别人说的）。（12/10 更新：这个deal 还有，只是包括的tour 不同，有的是免费蓝湖，不是北极光）

这个价格是税前的，加完税是$571/人

另外落地后好像还要交$100/人的机场费用。

Just to clarify a couple of questions I received on this:

1.       I know the price sounds too good to be true.  The reason that’s so is that it’s subsidized by the Icelandic government to promote tourism during a traditionally slow period.

2.    You’re dealing directly with the airline, so it’s not a tour company.

3.    This is not a photography workshop.  It’s just a package offered by the airline.  The reason I sent it to the photo club is that I know Iceland is a “hot” destination right now for photography.  It seems like there are a lot of workshops going there.  Well, if you don’t need the workshop part, this will save you thousands by doing it on your own.

我自己查的结果：十一月到二月是冰岛看北极光的好时候，但不guarantee 每天都能看到（这个reasonable，　去那里看都不保证），尤其是今年的火山灰的影响。

从那个网站看有其他的日期，不过价格就高一些，只有前面提到的时间内是这个价格＄４９９。

我算了一个package, 多加了一天，再加上机场到旅馆的费用（＄４２/人），税，总价是$672/人。这个价格就算是去玩一趟也很值了。

不过冰岛那里现在日照时间很短。

加拿大护照不需要签证。

But the transportation from the airport to hotel is $42/Person, if 2 person will be 84, 4 person will be double that, not sure if this is reasonable?

从机场到旅馆是大巴，每个人按一个seat 算的，要是人多的话，可以算算taxi 多少钱，如果便宜的话，就不用订大巴了。

这倒提醒我了，算算taxi 要多少钱。

the jet lag will spend some time as well. So totally only about 3 days left for vocation.
