I was there about 10 yrs and there was no online search. So I asked a ranger about the meaning of this non-English word and I was told.
20 yrs ago, Yellowstone had a huge fire similar to the one in China. It was still very ugly when I was 10 yrs ago. Hope it has been recovered a lot now.
