都是电影院正在放的，还一部讲backpacking PCT的电影"wild"(也是电影院正在放的)，拍得比不上上面两个大片，不过有点hiking相关也可看看 :wink:

I like this movie “Wild” and the book is better. It says hikers need mental strength before physical challenge. The actress won the best actress for the movie “Walk the Line” yrs ago. I hope she would have another chance.

是, Unbroken题材很好但女明星导演明显功力不够，

我们圣诞节在波特兰看了interview，午夜十二点的最后二张票，场场爆满，电影比预想得好不少。

我最喜欢的2014电影还是Imitation game，回来就在Amazon买了图灵传记来读，英国人以及电影都没有提及当时参与破解Enigma密码系統还有一个美国小组，图灵小组也去美国工作了一小段时间。

Gone girl也还不错，女主角在我眼里以前一直是pride and prejudice那个温柔顺和的大姐，这个角色是完全的倒转，后面一部分小看观众智商了，现在科技破这种案子应该没问题，片子太鬼臆了。

Hobbit是一如即往得好看，我看完最后一集Hobbit就去追魔戒了（以前竟然没看过），不过时间顺序上是对了,我ld说书比电影好看，他是一口气读完的

我们hiking的Brian Waddington Hut一带的山头也被以魔戒人物命名

Mt Gandalf, Shadowfax and Aragorn were first climbed by some VOCers in 1972 (see VOCJ15 1972). They named all 3 peaks....Since then, the name Peregrine has been applied to the peak immediately south of the cabin.....

为什么最近有这么多好片？而我没合适的时间去电影院。以前我有时间去电影院的时候，都很少能挑出一部好电影。

每年年底年初的好电影都不少。

国产片"智取威虎山"据我表妹说相当不错：

场面特技值得大银幕欣赏。从“情人”到座山雕真不是一点两点的距离啊!! 张涵予的形象演技一如既往的好。惊诧中看完了字幕最后一个字，这么多人员参与，光司机就100多名字!!
湾区只有 century 20 great mall 演到周末。值得一看

《The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 》这部电影也是在去年在波特兰看的，ld提议的，我当时很奇怪他怎么突然变成我家小儿的品位 :wink: ，可能是他比较喜欢90后的Jennifer Lawrence吧，结果这电影我俩都不是很喜欢，有趣的是坐在我们后面一排的一对也是同样的感受，我们听到他们的悄悄话：“竟然有和我们一样满二十一岁还来看这部片子的”（指得是我们） :wink:

今年的Oscar提名已经出来了，还有几部未看，准备今晚去看American Sniper, 狙击手入围了，而Gone Girl和Unbroken都没入围...

It is football time! Seahawks have one more game to win before step into the Superbowl again. And this Sun game, Las Vegas has 7.5 points bias. Personally, I think it is at least 2 touchdowns. Seahawks won 20 points when the two teams met at the 1st game of 2014 season. Now the Packers QB Rogers has calf problem.

Go Hawks.

Winning the most prestigious award is always a hard mission. But it is doable for Seahawks now. Here is my pitch: Generally speaking, defense is the key to win for any sports, basketball (unless MJ plays for u), baseball (pitcher!) and football. Seahawks have the best defense team in NFL. In the last six game in the regular season, Seahawks only gave 6.5 pts average per game and there was no pts in the 4th quarter!

Green Bay Packers is a good team. It has perfect home court record this season, but only 50% on road. The game is going to play in Seattle tomorrow.

I have 100% confidence on Seahawks.

Gone girl不错。Rosamund一直喜欢，牛津出来的牛人。看了电影不过瘾，追继续书。

我第一次看见女主角的英国演员Rosamund Pike是她出演的2005年版本的Pride & Prejudice里的温柔大姐，Gone girl里她的角色完全是个倒转,很惊艳 :wink:

第一次看到她是007电影《DIE ANOTHER DAY》，2002年，在里面是胖乎乎拿着大刀肉搏的打妹，被黑珍珠完败。第二次就是2007年的《Fracture》虽然惊鸿一瞥，太惊艳了。顺便推荐这部片子，高悬念，不到最后一刻答案不落幕。《傲慢与偏见》表现太平了，年纪都嫌大。《GONE GIRL》就算得上完美，据说作者坚持以她参演续集为前提才肯谈改编版权。
