Learning from mistakes

There's a saying that goes: good decisions come from experience; experience
comes from bad decisions. Everyone makes mistakes, and the great thing
about the Internet is that we all get to read about the mistakes that
*other* people have made so that we can (hopefully) avoid making the same
mistake ourselves.

At the end of 2017, a trio of skiers found themselves in a difficult
situation when one of their party broke a leg. But thanks to some good
fortune - which included being able to get a cell signal, good weather, and
a bright moon - the injured skier was rescued and the others manage to make
their way back to Whistler.
