My name is Natalie Bonthius and I’m a physician who works with the National Park Service and National Association of Search and Rescue. We’ve noticed a lot of injuries coming into the E.R. that could have been prevented by basic first aid and wilderness medicine education, especially from hikers and people travelling in the outdoors. Unfortunately, a lot of the Wilderness First Aid (WFA) courses were cancelled during Covid. I just wanted to let you know that a few other doctors and I will be teaching it over Zoom for the next few weeks.  I hope this provides an accessible option for some of you.
It’s $35 and completely online (through Zoom). The Wilderness First Aid certification is valid for three years, and the certification test is included.
