Tolkien Range, 以指环王作者姓氏Tolkien命名的山脉，周围山头也以书中人物命名。
每年8月15日-10月15日该区域关闭，让熊好好养膘。

How to get there
Blackwater Creek FSR is ploughed in winter up to the start of Phelix Creek FSR near km 13 (2WD accessible with low clearance). This is the winter parking lot. In summer (outside of provincial wildlife closure, read more below), drive 4.4 km up Phelix Creek FSR to the barricades at the second bridge and park (2WD accessible with moderate clearance; keep left at the fork before the bridge). Walk up the road through a few cutblocks until the road becomes a trail and climbs through mature forest to Long Lake. If the lake is not frozen, walk around the north side to the hut. The total distance is 5.5 km and 600 m elevation gain (9.9 km and 1090 m in winter). In winter and especially in spring, there is overhead hazard along Phelix Creek FSR from large avalanche paths.

FSR at Phelix  Marta Llovet   
It took as 3:45 hrs from the bottom of the FSR to the hut. Unfortunatelly we were not able to drive in the FSR with a 2wd medium clearance. I would recommend having an AWD or 4WD to drive up that road due to it gets dry/loose and it is hard to keep traction if you do not have a 4WD.
The trail was well marked and had no issues.
We did not end up staying at the hut even though we were really impressed by how beautiful and well maintained is the hut. We carried our tents and camped outside, we only used the hut to keep the food safe from wildlife.
There were more people camping in tents and if possible it would be great to have food safe storage outside the hut.
Just to note for the next hikers is that the bugs were pretty bad so just to be aware.

We did not use firewood so unsure about how full it was.

Tolkien Range 露营爬山

​第一天：停车场 - Brian Waddington 木屋   - Frodo Peak - Peregrine Peak - B. W. 木屋
​全程10公里，累计爬升1190米
​早上6:00从西温教堂开车三个半小时至起点，9:50从起点出发，两小时后到达Brian Waddington木屋(5.1公里，495米爬升)。
​木屋正在维修，我们将帐篷搭在附近的草地上。小溪从营地边流过，汇入长湖(Long Lake)。
​我们今天的任务是五座山中较易的Frodo 和Peregrine。
​午饭过后，四人上路。不到一公里，便到了上湖。沿着上湖右侧绕至湖左侧的山坡，坡顶的山脊两头便是我们的两个目标山头。
​坡的下半部分是草地，较陡，上半部分是石坡。上至山脊，往右是Frodo，往左是Peregrine。两个山头都不需要攀爬，走上去即可。Frodo上的风景比较好，如果赶时间，可以忽略Peregrine，尽管它比Frodo高出80米。
青山绿(蓝)水，点缀着蓝天下的Tolkien Range，让人流连忘返。
值得与美景相提并论的是猖獗的蚊子。

​第二天：木屋 - Mt. Shadowfax - Mt. Aragorn - Mt. Gandalf - 木屋
​全程14.2公里，累计爬升1196米
​八点出发，爬上长湖左边布满树木的陡坡。出树线不远处就到了一个湖边。我们的第一个目标是湖右边的Shadowfax山。山坡很陡。下半段的路有两条：一条是右边的之字路，一条靠左，从一个沟壑直上。从湖边往上爬时，我们太靠左，错过了之字路，只得手脚并用，从沟里爬上来。
​登顶前的路是简单的攀爬。
​从之字路下至湖边，向Mt. Shadowfax对面的A山和G山前进。两山在同一个山脊的两边：左边是Mt. Gandalf，右边是Mt.Aragorn。山脚下有两个湖，补充了水，开始爬石坡。
坡延伸至​山脊下时变得异常陡，坡也变成了石土混合，松动的石头和滑动的沙土，给攀爬增加了难度。Aragorn山从正面看怪石嶙峋，背面却是缓缓的大坡，从山脊走上山顶没有任何难度。
​从A山至Gandalf山基本上在山脊上行走，偶尔需要攀爬。到了山顶，看到右边一块怪石(图三)，左边一乱石群，不确定哪个高（是顶）。讨论的结果是不管谁是顶都不重要，反正都不可能登上去。
​拍照完，却找不到下山的路。没关系，我们自己开路。从石头堆里爬出来，终于看到路了。我们逆时针走环线，而其他人都是顺时针走环线，回程路上只有我们。
​5:40回到营地，发现湖的周围多了许多帐篷。第一次体验如此热闹的营地。

​第三天：Brian Waddington 木屋 - 停车场
拆帐打包，​十点离开营地，一个半小时回到停车场。Tolkien Range三天两晚五座山头的行程圆满结束。
