1. Go to the dock, ask the staff in the shed for the engine number.
2. Sign in the record form under the engine number. People who signed in is responsible of signing out, see clause 23.
3. Take one safety kit, one life jacket and two pedals into the Coach boat. Optionally take one jacket from inside the shed with ''X'' on it, to be used as seat cushion.
4. Take the engine assigned by the crew with the dolly.
5. Check engine strap is tight. Check exhaust hole is not covered. Check flush engine plug is on. Make sure engine is at neutral position.
6. Take gas tank with hose from the cabin. Gas tank should be at least half full.
7. Take the engine to the boat with the dolly.
8. Release the rope at the front of the coach boat to rotate the boat to the right angle for engine installation. Bail water out of the boat if necessary.
9. Hook the engine chain to the lift arm. Always use double chains to lift the engine.
10. Pump the lift arm to lift the engine to release the mounting bolts.
11. Rotate lift arm to position the engine to align with the mounting board on the boat.
12. Release the lift arm to lower the engine to the board and fasten the bolts.
13. Use the wire cable on the boat cross the engine handle to secure the engine on the boat.
14. Connect the gas tank hose to the engine.
15. Open air hole at gas tank.
16. Squeeze the rubber bubble on the gas hose once firmly to pump gas into the engine.
17. Start engine by jerking the start line two to three times.
18. Keep the engine running for about one minute to warm it up, and then turn it off by pushing the red button.
19. Put the dolly flat on the dock to avoid blowing into water by wind.
20. When it is dark, install three lights on the Coach boat. Red light on left, green on right, white at back. Take the lights from the box inside the shed.
21. Reverse procedure to take the engine off.
22. Flush the engine for a few minutes. Screw the quick connect part at the engine for flush, do not screw too tight.
Engine 4 needs a special clamp to be put at the bottom of the engine to flush.
23. Sign out at the form when the engine is taken off. If the engine is left on the boat ( as instructed by the staff), then write: ''hand over to other team'' on the form.

3. 取一个安全装备包、一件救生衣和两支桨放入教练船。如有需要，可从棚屋内取一件带有“X”标记的救生衣，用作座垫。
4. 用小车（dolly）运送工作人员分配的发动机。
5. 检查发动机绑带是否紧固；检查排气孔未被遮挡；检查冲洗用的堵头是否已装上；确保发动机处于空档位置。
6. 从船舱里取出带油管的油箱。油箱油量应至少为半箱。
7. 用小车将发动机运到船边。
8. 解开教练船船头的缆绳，将船旋转到合适角度以安装发动机。如有必要，先把船内积水舀出。
9. 将发动机的链条挂在起吊臂上。起吊发动机时必须使用双链。
10. 摇动起吊臂，将发动机升起以松开安装螺栓。
11. 转动起吊臂，使发动机对准船上的安装板。
12. 放低起吊臂，让发动机落到安装板上，并拧紧螺栓。
13. 使用船上的钢缆穿过发动机把手，将发动机固定在船上。
14. 将油管连接到发动机。
15. 打开油箱上的通气孔。
16. 用力挤压油管上的橡胶球一次，使汽油进入发动机。
17. 拉动启动绳两到三次启动发动机。
18. 让发动机运转约一分钟进行预热，然后按下红色按钮关闭发动机。
19. 将小车平放在码头上，避免被风吹入水中。
20. 天黑时，为教练船安装三盏灯：左红、右绿、后白。灯从棚屋内的箱子中取。
21. 按相反顺序卸下发动机。
22. 将发动机冲洗几分钟。将快速接头拧到发动机上进行冲洗，但不要拧得太紧。4号发动机冲洗时需要在发动机底部安装专用夹具。
23. 取下发动机后在表格上签退。如果发动机按工作人员指示留在船上，则在表格上写：“交接给其他队伍”。
