Re: [分享] What does a good group mean to me?

vera
1. Everybody in the team enjoys outdoors and concentrates on how to make the maximum fun of it. For me, exercise is never be my purpose. I am not motivated this way. It is the beauty of mountains that attracts me the most, plus people I go with.
2. Everybody follows the 8 rules "How to be a good hiker".
3. As long as decision has been made, no arguements, no complaints.
4. Respect each other. Help each other (in different ways, as everybody has different strength), but don't "spoil" others in a wrong way.
5. Leader makes the final decision. ( Lucky I am not the leader as I don't like it at all. Too much pressure for me even to think about this.  :)  )
6. As a follower, it is in my blood that it is me who needs the organizer to make any trip happen, not the opposite way.Maybe this is why I can be a good team member, so far.
7. Positive attitude for sure! Be together, be happy.

Like some other special routes, West Ridge of Mt Wedge is better to climb in winter than in summer. Many convincing reasons for that. 8)

Back at the hut right after dark. Sawing and then melting snow for dinner. Feels better than 5-Star Hotel, no kidding! It's for free, too. 8)

[分享] fun part of the ice saw

Strongly recommend ice saw in winter. I just love it. Obviously we need snow shovel to get snow. Then how to put snow in the little teapot needs some technique. Smart Clayton did it so well. He got a big piece of brick style snow and left it on the shovel, then used ice saw to get whatever size he wanted and put in his pot. You cannot make any mess this way. I was so excited and tried myself. It was even much easier than you cut the tofu. You don't need any effort! (I thought it was as hard as you cut the tree   ) It is cheap, light, but very useful. It makes snow camping much easier and more enjoyable. Last time Dr used it and made "Great Snow-brick Wall" on Motel 66. Isn't it amazing?

The end.

Why is it that the sight of a remote summit always creates desire? Is it because something inside of us wants to know how would it feel to actually touch it? Most of people will never know. But some will.  8)
