Emergency Shelter @ Chin Beach is surprising nice and clean. Park Rangers have done a pretty good job!

Daisy told me she saw a baby deer at the near by water fall in Chin Beach! I wasn't 100% sure until the very next morning we saw her! We're wondering why she was there all by herself in the pool. You wouldn't noticed her unless you look hard enough. I took some photos and turned around the Mother deer was standing at the trail head watching us! She stood there for a minute and decided to come down to the beach and get her baby. I guess the Mother is kind of used to human but she kept her distance away from us. Daisy and I were so gald the baby deer was reunited with her Mom. :gd: :gd:

那天扺達Chin Beach,也不過是午後, 順步在四處溜澾.

在西端有些岩洞, 山上溪水從洞頂散射而下, 遮住洞口, 當大風吹起, 水花隨風而舞, 像岩洞的一塊水幕, 十分好看.
剛好潮退, 我可以走進其中一個岩洞, 只見地下流水淙淙, 綠草盎然, 卻驚覺一雙大眼睛正瞪着我, 原來是一隻小鹿伏在地上, 正伸長頸, 惶恐的望着我, 身體不停地發抖

'啊! 對不起, 是我的好奇, 把你驚嚇了' 急忙退下

當天晚上, 只想着小鹿為甚麽見了我也不逃跑. 牠一定是受了傷, 但躲在那裹安全嗎? 但我只能做的, ?過是為牠sent out loving kindness,

願牠平安喜樂

天剛亮, 便跑去看看那小鹿, 只見牠神情悸慄, 見着我也不抬起頭來, 只是卷縮一團

剛好這石洞是在往Sombio 途中, 便帶Rick 去看那小鹿, 卻見到母鹿正站在高處望着我們, 而那正是要穿過的步道, 三個六隻眼請互相對視了好一會, 那母鹿卻朝着海浪走去, 繞過我們, 步向那小鹿

我們二人, 低頭走去, 默然不語,

除了母親, 還有誰能有此忘我精神, 可以不懼危險

這時的Rick, 一定是和我一樣在想念他的母親, 而我也很掛念我的女兒

No permit needed for JDF and it is under Provincial Parks.

Last Day. Sombrio Beach - Port Renfrew

The rain started when we hit the sack around 9ish. We tried to get some sleep and woke up @ 5AM. Decided to have some power bars instead of hot breakfast to save time. We met the two German girls back @ Chin Beach and they wanna to tag along back to Port Renfrew. The all nite rain fall had made the trail very Very VERY muddy and slippery. Took us 11 hrs to hike thru the last 20KM and did not reach Port Renfew until 5:30 in the evening! What a long day and many many mud pies we had to go thru!

We did not have the camera handy to take some photos on our last day! :sorry:
