You should be aware that your provincial coverage may not pay for all the health care costs you may incur outside the province, and the difference can be substantial. For example, B.C. pays $75 (Cdn) a day for emergency in-patient hospital care, while the average cost in the U.S. often exceeds $1000 (US) a day, and can be as high as $10,000 (US) a day in intensive care. 為避開週五長週末過關人龍, 決定週四黃昏出發。安排如下:

4月5日週四
集合時間:  6:00 pm
集合地點:  Broadway East Sky Train Station 旁Safeway
在Peace Arch 過關, 取道I-5, 到Everett 渡宿一霄。特鳴謝Seattle同伴Jerry & Citywander 的盛意招待。我會把Jerry的地址及電話發到站內短信, 請溫哥華開車的同伴查閱。

4月6日週五
早上七時離開Everett到Edmonds乘7:55am ferry到Kingston, 航程30mins。沿Hwy 104轉Hwy101到Port Angeles WIC 與 QQ 匯合, 取camping permit及租canister。然后吃早午餐, 買食物。約12:00noon離開Port Angeles繼續沿Hwy101到南面trail head Rialto, 預計為1:30pm。司機把乘客背包放下, 稍是休息，所有司機北上, 開到Ozette。三車停在Ozette, 一車連同所有司機再返回Rialto。Shuttle需要4 hrs,
預計為6:00 pm。

Jerry & Citywander 下班后會自已開車到Rialto與我們匯合。吃晚飯,
睡覺。

4月7日週六
Backpacking正色開始。從Rialto Beach 起步, 到 Cedar Creek 扎營

4月8日週日
到 Sand Point 扎營

4月9日週一6:00 am 開步, 預計10:00am 回到Ozette休息, 10:30 am 開始踏上歸途。一司機載Jerry, Citywander & Shuttle 司機回Rialto取車。其他同伴送QQ到Port Angeles碼頭乘2:00pm船。再開往Port Townsend, 乘2:15pm船渡過Puget Sound 到Keystone。沿Hwy 20 接I-5, 返回溫哥華。

two accesses to the Point of the Arches, Shi Shi Beach:

1. A 13.4-mile backpack from Ozette Lake to the north end of Shi Shi Beach. This route covers a wild and beautiful stretch of coastline north of Ozette Lake. There are some steep climbs aided by fixed ropes near Will Point. The former northern access to Shi Shi Beach is no longer open to the public, so travelers to Point of the Arches must count on returning by the same route that they came.


2. The only one reasonable for the average hiker is from the north by permission of the landowner, the Makah Indian Nation, obtained, for now, by paying a modest parking fee
Route trip to Point of the Arches: 7miles(Route trip to Shi Shi: ~5 mile)
Hiking time: 4 hours
High Point: 150 feet

We haven't done Shi Shi beach yet
